Do you need to see me? You can schedule a meeting either in person or over the phone.
I want you to know that we are always working together to help your child be successful. Use the booking application on the right to schedule an appointment with me. I am happy to meet in person or schedule a call with you. If we need to meet with other team members in the school, scheduling may become limited.
If you have scheduling needs that the online booking system cannot meet, contact me and we can make other arrangements. Thank you! |

What can I do to help my child become a better reader?
You don't need to be an expert to help your child with reading. Research shows that when parents talk about books, tell stories, and ask their children about school/learning, students often become more engaged in reading and see greater improvements. Visit the US Department of Education's Editors Picks for reading and discover a wealth of resources to help you get started.
How do I know what books to buy/borrow for my child?
That is a tough question! Every child has his/her own taste in subjects and styles. A great place to start for early readers is with Caldecott Medal winners and honorees. These medals are awarded to the year's best picture book. You will find rich illustrations and well developed themes in these books. They cover a huge variety of subjects.
For more experienced readers, look to the Newberry Medal winners. These are usually more advanced books geared towards proficient readers (many kids would call them "chapter books").
You can always ask a librarian for help! Librarians LOVE to make recommendations to eager readers at every level.
